Ultimate Power for Uncompromising Builds

The ASUS ROG Thor 1000W Platinum III is built for the discerning builder who refuses to compromise — the flagship gaming rig, the heavily overclocked workstation, the next-gen GPU powerhouse that demands every watt it can get. Fully compliant with the ATX 3.1 standard and equipped with a PCIe Gen 5.1 16-pin cable capable of sending up to 600W to a single graphics card, this PSU is engineered to keep pace with today’s most power-hungry hardware without breaking a sweat.

GaN MOSFET and GPU-First Voltage Stability

Tired of voltage fluctuations robbing your GPU of its peak performance? The ROG Thor 1000W Platinum III addresses this with an innovative GaN MOSFET that delivers up to 30% more power efficiency than conventional MOSFETs, while its smaller footprint allows for a more organised internal layout with larger heatsinks and better airflow. The patented ‘GPU-First’ intelligent voltage stabiliser (IVS) enhances voltage stability by up to 45% by sensing and prioritising power delivery directly to your graphics card — smoothing out the demands of the most intense gaming sessions and overclocking scenarios.

Platinum-Certified Efficiency, Near-Silent Operation

Earning both 80 PLUS Platinum and Cybenetics Platinum certifications, the ROG Thor 1000W Platinum III leverages low-ESR Japanese capacitors for industry-leading efficiency, reduced heat generation, and improved acoustics. The Cybenetics Lambda A++ certification confirms noise output averages below 15 dB — practically inaudible under typical loads. The PWM-controlled dual-ball-bearing fan shuts off entirely when the PSU is operating at or below 30% load in standard mode, and a dedicated 0dB button gives you additional control over fan behaviour as your system transitions between load levels. Dual-ball bearings are rated for up to 80,000 hours of operation — twice the lifespan of sleeve bearing designs.

Magnetic OLED Display, Turbo Mode, and Aura Sync

The ROG Thor 1000W Platinum III goes beyond raw performance with a suite of experience-focused features. The signature magnetic OLED display shows real-time power draw at a glance, and because it attaches magnetically, it can be swapped to either side of the unit to suit fan-up or fan-down PSU installations. Turbo Mode unlocks support for extended power excursions, giving overclocking enthusiasts the headroom they need when pushing hardware to its limits. Etched modular cables in a pliable premium material make routing and management effortless, while Aura Sync ARGB support lets this PSU integrate seamlessly into a synchronised lighting setup.
