Flagship Power for Serious Gamers

The ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 is built for gamers and creators across South Africa who refuse to compromise. At its heart is the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 290HX processor — 24 cores boosting up to 5.5 GHz — paired with the formidable NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5090 Laptop GPU running at up to 175W via ROG Boost. With a MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, plus a 13 TOPS Intel AI Boost NPU, it delivers desktop-class performance for the most demanding games and workloads.

A Breathtaking 18″ 4K Mini LED Display

Visuals are every bit as serious as the silicon. The 18-inch ROG Nebula HDR display uses Mini LED technology for a dazzling 1600 nits peak brightness, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and 100% DCI-P3 colour. A 4K (3840 × 2400) 16:10 panel runs at a blistering 240Hz with G-Sync, Dolby Vision HDR and a Pantone-validated, anti-glare low-reflection finish — so everything from fast-paced shooters to colour-critical creative work looks superb.

Memory, Storage and Room to Grow

This SCAR ships with 32GB of fast DDR5-6400 memory across two SO-DIMM slots and a speedy 2TB PCIe® 4.0 NVMe™ SSD. Thanks to dual SO-DIMM slots (expandable to 128GB) and dual M.2 slots, there’s plenty of headroom to upgrade memory and storage down the line, keeping the laptop future-ready for years of demanding use.

Next-Generation Connectivity

Staying connected is effortless. Wi-Fi 7 (triple-band, 2×2) and Bluetooth 5.4 deliver cutting-edge wireless speeds, while a 2.5G LAN port keeps competitive online play lag-free. Two Thunderbolt™ 5 ports add up to 120 Gbps of bandwidth with DisplayPort, power delivery and G-Sync support, joined by three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and HDMI 2.1 for high-refresh external displays.

Cool, Immersive and Built for Battle

ROG Intelligent Cooling keeps temperatures and noise in check during marathon sessions, while a per-key RGB backlit keyboard with a Copilot key and Aura Sync sets the mood. A four-speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology, Dolby Atmos and AI noise-cancelling delivers immersive audio, and a 1080p IR camera enables quick, secure Windows Hello sign-in. A 90Wh battery with fast charging tops up to 50% in just 30 minutes — and a ROG backpack is included in the box.
